A report has come to light which shows that petrol prices in the neighboring countries of Pakistan are also extremely high.
The petrol prices per liter in India, China, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and other countries of South Asia in Pakistani currency are as follows.
According to the details, petrol is being sold at 381 Pakistani rupees per liter in India, 345 rupees in Bangladesh, 391 rupees in Sri Lanka and 385 rupees per liter in China.
Saudi Arabia Rs196, Japan Rs356, UAE Rs275, Qatar Rs170, Malaysia Rs160 per liter. Azerbaijan Rs346, Singapore 633 rupees, Hong Kong 917 rupees, Philippines 361 rupees and Turkey 360 rupees per liter.
It is pertinent to note that caretaker government dropped another petrol bomb on the people due to inflation. The price of petrol has been increased by Rs26.2 while the price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs17.34 per liter.
The price of petrol reached a new high of Rs331.38 per liter while the new price of high speed diesel was Rs329.18 per liter.
According to the Ministry of Finance, increase in the prices of petroleum products was done due to the increase in global market. According to the agreement with International monetary Fund (IMF), the levy on petroleum products is being collected up to 60 rupees per liter.
This financial year, the target is to collect 869 billion rupees from consumers in the form of petroleum levy. Last financial year, 542 billion rupees were received in this regard.
