Many pilots made others sit in the exam, the report says, adding that at least 28 pilots allegedly sat for the exams on their weekly off. One pilot, named Shaukat Mahmood, gave the exam on Eid ul Adha.

Two pilots were not in the country on the day they gave the exam. Yahya Mussawar, another pilot, was on duty in a flight when he allegedly gave the exam.

CAA has suspended the licenses of 32 of the 54 pilots who were being investigated. In its report CAA alleged that PIA had submitted incorrect information for at least 30 pilots. Two senior Joint Directors have also been suspended.

CAA now plans to register cases against the employees who it alleges had given pilots illegal access to the system.
