Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi strongly condemned the Dera Ismail Khan bomb blast that claimed lives of five people and wounded 21 others, including police officials on Friday.
The president conveyed his sincere sorrow for the innocent lives lost in the explosion.
He prayed for the wounded to heal quickly and for the martyrs to be elevated in rank.
The president restated the nation's commitment to eliminating terrorism entirely from its territory.
Earlier today, At least 14 soldiers embraced martyrdom when terrorists unleashed attack on vehicles of the security forces in Gwadar on Friday.
According to the military’ media wing, two vehicles of security forces moving from Pasni to Ormara in Gwadar district, were ambushed by the terrorists, resultantly 14 soldiers embraced martyrdom in the unfortunate incident.
Sanitization operation is being carried out in the area and perpetrators of this heinous act will be hunted down and brought to justice, said ISPR.
The security forces are committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism from the nation, and the gallant sacrifices made by our warriors only serve to bolster that commitment, it continued.
