UHS to implement new MD, MS curricula from January
UHS VC directs the conveners of the specialty advisory committees to prepare modular curricula for MS, MD, and MDS programs within one month.
Lahore: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Vice Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore has expressed the university's intention to implement the new modular curricula for postgraduate clinical programs of MD, MS and MDS from January 1, 2024.
UHS VC directed the conveners of the specialty advisory committees to prepare modular curricula for MS, MD, and MDS programs within one month. Professor Rathore mentioned that the curricula for six specialties were already in the final stages of approval.
Emphasizing the importance of maintaining the quality of postgraduate clinical programs at the university, Professor Rathore stated, "We aim to enhance the reputation of the University's postgraduate clinical programs and get these degrees accredited in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and Ireland."
He further explained that the clinical examinations for postgraduate programs will now be conducted within the university, allowing for more effective monitoring of the examination process.
