Bangladeshi Directorate General of Health Services said that more than 3,09,000 people have been affected by the dengue virus so far this year.


Dhaka: The number of deaths caused due to dengue has reached 1606 in Bangladesh this year.
According to the international media, the Bangladeshi Directorate General of Health Services said that more than 3,09,000 people have been affected by the dengue virus so far this year, while the number of deaths caused by this virus is six times more than last year.
Health experts expressed concern over the situation of dengue this year, as usually the dengue virus starts to decrease as soon as the monsoon rains end, however, 38,000 cases of dengue have been recorded in November this year alone.
Dhaka's Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice-Chancellor Mohammad Sharafuddin Ahmed said that during this period in previous years, we did not record any dengue patients.
