Siraj-ul-Haq files nomination papers for Lower Dir's NA-7
The Jamat-e-Isami emir says the elections are acceptable only if they are held transparent.

Lahore: In preparation for the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8, Jamat-e-Islam (JI) Emir Siraj ul Haq on Friday filed his nomination papers for the Lower Dir constituency, NA-7.
The JI leaders and supporters accompanied Sirajul Haq during his this move as they came long way with him from Balamabat.
Talking to the reproters, Siraj ul Haq emphasized the importance of transparent elections.
He highlighted that, following the announcement of the election schedule, suspicions and doubts surrounding the process have been effectively addressed.
Haq noted that despite some individuals expressing reluctance towards the elections, their desires for avoidance would be met with disappointment as the democratic process unfolds.
Acknowledging the crucial role of the Chief Election Commissioner, Siraj ul Haq urged him to uphold the principles of justice and fairness, ensuring equal opportunities for all political parties in the electoral process.
Besides it, the Jamaat-e-Islami leader expressed concern over the events of May 9, deeming them a matter of shame for the nation. He called for cases related to these incidents to be dealt with in courts, emphasizing the need for justice and fairness in resolving the matters associated with those events.
