Hearing on Sanam Javed’s bail appeal adjourned again
Sanam Javed's laywer argued that the police had never told that she was wanted in the Shadman police station assault case as well, which shows the malice of the police.
Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore Saturday again postpone the bail application of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sanam Javed who is nominated in the Shadman police station arson case.
According to the details, Judge Arshad Javed of the Special ATC Lahore heard the bail application of Sanam Javed.
The lawyer appearing on behalf of Sanam Javed argued that the police had never told that Sanam was wanted in the Shadman police station assault case as well, which shows the malice of the police.
A Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) was issued against Sanam Javed on May 10, 2023 which was annulled by the court and she was arrested in other cases, stated lawyer.
The petitioner's lawyer further said that PTI leader Sanam gets released in one case and is arrested in another. It was never told that in which other cases Sanam Javed is nominated.
When the court inquired from the public prosecutor, he requested some more time for case preparation.
The court accepted the request of the government lawyer and adjourned the hearing till February 6.
