Journalist Asad Toor handed over to FIA for three-day physical remand
At the beginning of the hearing, the FIA formally requested a further nine-day physical remand.
Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court Islamabad sent journalist Asad Ali Toor to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) custody on physical remand for another three days.
In the case of running a social media campaign against the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Duty Judge Abbas Shah accepted the FIA's appeal for physical remand of the journalist.
At the beginning of the hearing, the FIA formally requested a further nine-day physical remand.
While, the further physical remand of Asad Ali were opposed by his lawyers.
Asad Toor came to the rostrum during the hearing and said that he will not give his mobile phone and will not reveal his sources as they are the dearest to the journalist.
He stated: ‘I am on hunger strike, they give me everything but I don't want to eat anything myself’.
The journalist present in the courtroom made him end his hunger strike.
