However, PTI founder and other accused are acquitted in two cases which were filed in Bara Kahu police station.


Islamabad: The district and session court has discharged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) founder Imran Khan in two more cases of long march.
According to the details, the court also acquitted PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Parvez Khattak, Saifullah Niazi, Aamir Kiyani, Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram, Faisal Javed, Sheikh Rashid and Shireen Mazari in two cases. Judicial magistrate Sahib Bilal accepted the acquittal pleas of Imran Khan and others.
Court stated that PTI’s founder and others are accused of inciting people during the long march, if public was incited by the Imran Khan and others, then the prosecution will also have to prove it in hindsight.
Magistrate Sahib Bilal remarked that no evidence has been submitted in the court against Imran Khan and others and the record is insufficient to prosecute the case against them.
Court said that the record submitted by the prosecution was not strong enough to prove Imran Khan and other accused as guilty.
However, PTI founder and other accused are acquitted in two cases which were filed in Bara Kahu police station.
It should be noted that yesterday (Tuesday) judicial magistrate had accepted the petition of acquittal in two cases of long march vandalism of Imran Khan.
