Federal govt approves four holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr
According to astrologers, Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to happen on April 10.
Islamabad: The federal government has approved Eid-ul-Fitr holidays from April 10 to April 13.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved four holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Cabinet Division has also issued the notification for these holidays after getting the approval of the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, according to astrologers, Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to happen on April 10.
According to the notification, there will be holidays from April 10 to 13 in the offices which are working six days a week.
The notification states that there will be a holiday from April 10 to 13 in the five-day-a-week offices. While, April 14 is a Sunday so in effect the employees will have five days off.
Civil servants have criticized this decision saying that according to astronomers and meteorologists, Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to happen on April 10.
If the public holidays will start from April 10, when will the employees go to their native areas. They have appealed to the Prime Minister to start the Eid holidays from April 9.
