Washington DC: US President Joe Biden has insisted on imposing a ban on China's electric vehicles.
According to foreign media, US President Joe Biden is insisting on banning the import of Chinese electric vehicles to the US.
In this regard, in a statement last month, Biden said that China's policies will flood our markets with its vehicles that pose a threat to our national security, but he will not allow it all to happen.
Senator Sherrod Brown, the head of the Senate Banking Committee, has also written a letter in this regard in which he has described China's electric vehicles as a major threat to the American auto industry.
"We will not allow China's government to counterfeit the American auto industry," Sherrod Brown said.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, the White House has not responded to this news.
Foreign media stated that this is the strongest stance any US lawmaker has taken on China's electric vehicles, while other lawmakers have called for heavy tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles.
According to media reports, the White House said in February that the US is investigating how Chinese cars pose a threat to national security.
