Bushra Bibi's appeal for transfer to Adiala Jail reinstates
The court adjourned the hearing by directing to fix her main petition of transfer from Bani Gala Sub-Jail to Adiala on April 22.
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday reinstated the dismissed petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi for non-compliance with her transfer from sub-jail Bani Gala to Adiala Jail.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of IHC heard the petition of Bushra Bibi during which lawyer Usman Riaz Gul appeared on behalf of Bushra Bibi while State Counsel Abdul Rehman was also present in the court.
During the hearing, State Council Abdul Rehman also did not oppose Bushra Bibi's request for rehabilitation. The court inquired about the protocols of sub-jail, saying that court should be assisted in the upcoming hearing. The medical examination of Bushra Bibi was also ordered today.
The court adjourned the hearing by directing to fix the main petition of Imran Khan’s wife's transfer from Bani Gala Sub-Jail to Adiala Jail on April 22.
It is pertinent to note that on the previous hearing, the court had rejected Bushra Bibi's application for non-compliance. Her lawyers had again filed a separate application to restore the application.
