Punjab govt makes transfer, posting of senior officers
Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa has been directed to report to the Establishment Division while Zaid bin Maqsood, Secretary of Services (S&GAD), has been transferred and appointed as Lahore Commissioner.
Lahore: The Punjab government on Tuesday made a series of transfers and postings for senior officers including the Commissioner of Lahore Division and Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of various districts.
Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa was directed to report to the Establishment Division while Zaid bin Maqsood, Secretary of Services (S&GAD), was transferred and appointed as Lahore Commissioner.
Aurangzeb Haider Khan assumed the role of Deputy Commissioner Sargodha while Dr. Noor Muhammad Awan was appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
The new appointments also include Ali Akbar as DC Bhakkar, Saima Ali as DC Sahiwal, and Samiullah Farooq as DC Jhelum. Khalid Parvez, the former DC Layyah, was designated as OSD.
Additionally, Ameera Baidar was appointed as DC Layyah, Farrukh Atique as DC Okara, and Khalid Javed as DC Mianwali.
Muhammad Zeeshan Hanif, the former DC Okara, was shifted to the role of OSD. The notifications regarding these appointments and transfers were issued by the Punjab Government.
The sources said that the majority of the newly appointed officers were transferred from the Chief Minister's Office.
