The A-level maths paper was leaked online ahead of the May 2 exam

Probe into A-Levels paper leak initiated
Karachi: Cambridge International Education (CIE) Saturday launched an investigation into the alleged leak of A-levels’ maths paper a day before the exam.
The A-level maths paper was leaked online ahead of the May 2 exam. Students and their parents also expressed concern over the reports.
Parents said that the transparency and integrity of the examinations would suffer, demanding an investigation into the matter.
The development has come after claims by social media users. Several students had sent protest emails to the British High Commission, but the Cambridge Examination Board had not officially responded to the students or the media on the issue.
CIE turned to social media website Facebook and wrote: “We are looking into concerns raised about a potential paper leakage on 02 May 2024 for AS Level Mathematics 9709 Paper 12”.
This is being investigated, and Cambridge and the British Council are in close communication, state CIE.
They added that Cambridge and the British Council are committed to upholding the integrity and fairness of exams, and they will continue to work closely with schools to ensure a smooth and secure examination experience for all candidates.
It is pertinent to note that it is yet to be proven if the paper was leaked as it is only an allegation for which the investigation has commenced.
