Pakistan foreign exchange reserves inflate over $23.577 billion

Karachi: The total liquid foreign exchange reserves of Pakistan continue to rise quickly as the total reached the highest level i.e. $23,577.9 million on June 4 2021.

According to a statement issued by the State Bank of Pakistan, the foreign reserves held by it stood at $16,414.9 million.

Whereas the net foreign reserves under the commercial banks stood at $7163 million. The central bank received proceeds of Wapda green Euro bond equal to $499 million.

The statement also added that after accounting for external debt repayments, State Bank of Pakistan reserves increased by $281 million to $16,414.9 million.

As stated by the central bank data, the total liquid foreign reserves reached their highest levels when they crossed $23,294 million in the week that ended on May 28th 2021.
