Mobile, internet service to be suspended on Muharram 7, 10 in Quetta
The officials of the Interior Department say that mobile and internet service will be suspended in Quetta on 7th and 10th of Muharram from 6:00am to 12:00 midnight
Quetta: The mobile phone and internet service will be shut down in Quetta on the occasion of Muharram 7 and 10.
The Balochistan government has decided to suspend the mobile phone service in Kuchi, Jhal Magsi, Jafarabad, and Osta Muhammad on Muharram 9 and 10.
According to the officials of the Interior Department, the arrangements regarding Muharram-al-Haram have been completed in Balochistan including Quetta.
The officials of the Interior Department say that mobile and internet service will be suspended in Quetta on 7th and 10th of Muharram from 6:00am to 12:00 midnight. In contrast, mobile service will be closed on 9 and 10 Muharram in Kachhi, Jhal Magsi, Jafarabad, and Osta Muhammad.
According to the officials of the Interior Department, more than 18,000 personnel will be deployed in Quetta on Ashur day. Five platoon QRF of Pakistan Army will remain on standby while two helicopters will also be present for aerial surveillance of processions on Muharram 7, 9, and 10.
The officials of the Home Department stated that double riding of a motorcycle is also prohibited under Section 144 from 1st to 10th of Muharram in seven districts of the province.
