Peshawar: The situation of flooding due to rain continues in different parts of the country including Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and Sindh.
In Balochistan's flood-affected area Ziarat, three union councils of Zandara, Quas, and Manra have been affected by floods after rains.
The partial movement of traffic was restored on the affected national highway N-50 in Muslim Bagh, while the N-50 Ziarat Quetta highway connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab continues to be affected due to flooding in many places.
The relief activities of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) are going on in Muslim Bagh.
Meanwhile, the cracks in Manjhoti branch of the Sahabpur and Shahi Canal could not be filled even after six days. Dozens of villages including Nasir Khosa, Maulvi Qadir Bakhsh, and Aliabad are under water.
In Kashmore, the moderate flood situation persists at Guddu Barrage, crops have been inundated due to water ingress in waste areas.
On the other hand, floods in the rivers and streams of Gilgit-Baltistan have stopped. According to the administration, 10 connecting bridges and 75 houses were seriously damaged due to the flood. Rehabilitation work is going on in the flood-affected areas.
