A new variant of monkeypox has emerged in different countries of Africa.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared monkeypox as a global emergency.
According to the WHO, the new variant of pox is spreading rapidly in 13 African countries, including Congo.
On the other hand, measures have also been decided to prevent other diseases including the Epoxy Zika virus at all entry points in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to note that the National Command and Operation Center has issued an alert to the Border Health Services after the increasing cases of monkeypox around the world and the spread of the Zika virus in India.
NCOC officials have issued instructions to monitor travelers coming to Pakistan from abroad and to quarantine suspected monkeypox patients in special wards.
