May 9 cases: Fawad's attendance exemption request approved
Court granted the application and extended the interim bail till October 5
Lahore: Fawad Chaudhry's appeal for exemption from attendance in cases related to May 9 was approved on Saturday.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore extended the interim bail till October 5 by granting a one-day waiver of attendance in the interim bail application of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in five cases of arson on May 9.
Duty Judge Arshad Javed heard Fawad Chaudhry's application for interim bail through the mediation of lawyer Zafar Iqbal. The appeal stated that Fawad Chaudhry is unwell, therefore the court should approve the request for a one-day attendance exemption.
The court granted the application and extended the interim bail till October 5.
