Lahore: Fans can now grab their tickets for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, as sales have officially begun.
The tournament, scheduled to run from 3 to 20 October in the United Arab Emirates, will feature the world’s top women cricketers battling for glory.
Matches will be held in Dubai and Sharjah, where 10 teams will compete fiercely. The action-packed opener on October 3 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium promises a double-header, with Bangladesh facing Scotland, followed by Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka.
Ticket prices are set to be affordable, starting from 5 AED, while premium seating goes for 40 AED. A single ticket will cover entry for both matches on double-header days. Fans can purchase tickets through the official website, and kiosks at Dubai International Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium will also be available soon.
In a move aimed at growing the game, entry is free for anyone under 18. Warm-up matches kick off this week, with the tournament’s group stage following in early October. The teams are split into two groups of five, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals will see the group winners facing the runners-up, with the final showdown set for October 20 in Dubai.
