A solidarity walk was held where students chanted slogans against Indian brutality and in support of Kashmiris
Lahore: To commemorate Kashmir Black Day, the University of Punjab's Human Rights Chair and Department of Public Relations and Advertising organised a special ceremony to condemn India's illegal occupation and atrocities in illegally Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).
The event was attended by a large number of faculty members and students. A solidarity walk was held, where students chanted slogans against Indian brutality and in support of Kashmiris. Students wore black dresses, displayed posters, and reaffirmed their commitment to fight for Kashmir's freedom.
The ceremony was chaired by Professor Dr. Abida Ashraf, Chairperson of Human Rights and Public Relations, University of Punjab. Other speakers included Associate Professor, Dr. Faiza Abid, Curator of Public Relations and Advertising Society, University of Punjab, Ahsan Kamray, poet Nasir Bashir, and others. Dr. Umer Nadeem, Deputy Director DGPR, Hafsa Jawed Khawaja, Dr. Sadia Munir, and a large number of faculty members and students participated in the event.
Students participated in slogan and poster-making competitions and also made handprints on the Kashmir Solidarity Wall with red paint.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for Kashmir's freedom.
