Govt frightened of Imran Khan, says Omar Ayub

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Omar Ayub has said that the incumbent government was frightened of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Addressing in National Assembly session on Tuesday, Ayub said that the rulers were merely having one target.

Criticising the incumbent government, opposition leader said that this was not the government but the anarchy. “These people are hiding their faces and are not daring enough to face the masses.”

Referring to May 9 incidents, the opposition leader said “we will also show students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the vandalism done by the federal forces in KP House” like the Jinnah House in Lahore was shown to students. “We will show our youth how a province was invaded,” he continued.

The opposition leader said the government used force yesterday and the house was full. But today, it the house was empty.

He criticised extension in the tenure of service granted to the armed forces chiefs after passage of bills saying that careers of many officers would end. The mic of opposition leader was switched off during his speech.

The deputy speaker ordered that the mic be turned on, but the livestream was again cut off as soon as he started speaking.

He, however, continued and called the forces as that of Hulegu Khan (Halaku Khan). The nation was facing inflation, but the government was passing bills. He termed the government mafia who was afraid of a person who was jailed.
