Philippine military plane carrying 85 people crashes
Manila: A military plane crashed and broke up in flames in the southern Philippines on Sunday with 92 people on board and at least 40 people had been rescued, the armed forces chief said.
As per details, the aircraft, C-130 of the Philippine Air Force encountered the mishap while landing on the island of Jolo in Sulu province.
"Responders are at the site now, we are praying we can save more lives," said officials.
Pictures from the scene showed flames and smoke pouring from wreckage of the aircraft among trees.
Defence Minister Delfin Lorenzana stated the plane had been carrying ninety two people, including three pilots and five other crew members.
For the time being, the injured have been undergoing medical treatment.
