World Bank and Pakistan will discuss effective implementation of $40 billion funding


Islamabad: A delegation of World Bank Executive Directors has arrived in Islamabad to review the implementation of the $40 billion economic development framework for Pakistan.
The World Bank Executive Directors are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. The delegation will also meet the Minister for Economic Affairs Division, Minister for Planning, and Minister for Energy.
According to Finance Ministry officials, during the visit, discussions will be held between the World Bank and Pakistan on the effective implementation of the $40 billion funding, and the implementation of the effective use of funding under the Country Partnership Framework will be reviewed.
Officials further said that the delegation will review development initiatives, and consult with the provinces for strategy, and the delegation will visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan.
