According to Meteorological Department, temperatures in Larkana and the historic city of Mohenjo Daro soar to 46°C

(Web Desk): The sun has begun to blaze across Pakistan, with extreme heat prevailing in various parts of Sindh and southern Punjab.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in Larkana and the historic city of Mohenjo Daro have soared to 46°C.
In Dadu, the temperature reached 45°C, while in Nawabshah and Hyderabad, it was recorded at 43°C. In southern Punjab’s city of Multan, the temperature stood at 36°C, the same as in the federal capital, Islamabad.
Meanwhile, both Karachi and Lahore recorded temperatures of 37°C. However, due to high humidity, the heat is being felt more intensely in these cities.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that most parts of the country will remain hot and dry over the next few days, with some plains experiencing severe heat. Citizens have been advised to avoid direct sunlight, increase water intake, and refrain from going outdoors unnecessarily.
Authorities have warned people to stay out of the sun when possible and to take necessary precautions. On Sunday, several districts of Sindh experienced extreme heat.
The department has also urged the public to drink plenty of water, take protective measures against the sun, and try to avoid heatstroke.
