Total exports decreased by 19.05pc in April compared to March


Islamabad: The trade deficit of Pakistan increased by 55.20 percent in April compared to March.
According to official documents, the trade deficit was recorded at $3.388 billion during April, a 35.79 percent increase compared to April last year.
According to documents, the trade deficit increased by 8.81 percent during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, and the trade deficit was recorded at $21.35 billion from July to April.
According to official documents, the country’s total exports decreased by 19.05 percent in April compared to March. The total exports in April were $2.14 billion, while the total exports recorded an annual decrease of 8.93 percent in April.
Exports increased by 6.25 percent in the 10 months of the current fiscal year. The total exports from July to April were $26.86 billion, and the country’s total imports increased by 14.52 percent in April compared to March.
The country's total imports in April were approximately $5.53 billion. Compared to April last year, imports also increased by 14.09 percent annually. In the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, total imports increased by 7.37 percent. From July to April, the country's total imports were more than $48 billion.
