Meetings in Beijing will cover a wide range of subjects including recent escalation with India

(Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Beijing on Monday for a three-day official visit at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, according to state-owned Radio Pakistan.
The visit comes at a sensitive time, following last week’s ceasefire between Pakistan and India after a brief military standoff related to the Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). India blamed Pakistan for the incident, but no solid evidence has been provided.
During the crisis, China stood firmly with Pakistan, both militarily and diplomatically. Reports suggest that Chinese J-10C fighter jets and PL-15 missiles played a role in helping Pakistan shoot down six Indian warplanes, including advanced French-made Rafale jets. China also made strong public statements in support of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Before leaving for China, Dar highlighted the strength of Pakistan-China relations, especially in trade and diplomacy, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan. He also noted that he had recently spoken twice with Wang Yi, who personally invited him for this visit.
Dar said his meetings in Beijing will cover a wide range of subjects including political, regional, and international issues, along with the recent escalation with India. He also revealed that in his discussions with global leaders, it was clear that India is trying to shift blame onto Pakistan, even accusing it of planning attacks on nuclear sites.
During the visit, Dar will hold detailed talks with his Chinese counterpart on the changing regional situation and what it means for peace and stability in South Asia. The two countries will also review all aspects of their bilateral relationship and discuss regional and international developments of mutual concern.
According to the Foreign Office, the visit is part of ongoing high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China and reflects their shared commitment to deepening their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.”
