Experts advise residents to avoid going outdoors unnecessarily during peak heat hours

(Web Desk): Karachi continues to experience intense heat, with hot and humid weather expected to persist. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in the city could reach up to 39°C on Sunday.
The department stated that due to high humidity levels, the heat index — or how hot it feels — could rise to as much as 49°C. Currently, the city’s temperature is recorded at 36°C, but it feels like 38°C.
Winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 14 km/h, and the humidity level has been recorded at below 34%.
Experts have advised residents to avoid going outdoors unnecessarily during peak heat hours, especially between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Citizens are also urged to increase their intake of water and hydrating fluids to prevent heat-related illnesses.
