Islamabad: The Provincial Disaster Management Authorities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have issued wind and rain alert for most districts of provinces from today till Thursday.
According to alert, strong dusty winds and rain are expected in several areas, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiat, Attock, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Jhelum and Gujranwala.
Rain is also likely in Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, and Mianwali.
In South Punjab, rain is predicted in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar.
Meanwhile, according to PDMA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all the Deputy Commissioners have been directed to take precautionary measures to avoid any human and material losses during forecast period.
The control room of PDMA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is operational round the clock and people can contact by dialing 1700 in case of any emergency.
