Historic survey for flood victims in Punjab, data of 81,510 people collected

Lahore: Following the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the largest flood survey in the history of Punjab has been released.

According to the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), 1,857 teams participated in collecting data in 27 flood-affected districts, and details of 81,510 victims have been collected in the flood survey.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab says that survey teams have checked crop losses from 56,207 farmers in different districts. So far, survey teams have identified 53,985 acres of flood-affected land. Data of 24,246 houses affected by the flood has been collected.

Details were also taken from 1,057 people who lost their livestock. According to the survey, details of 3,945 dead livestock were received from different districts. Representatives of the Urban Unit, Revenue, Agriculture Department, Livestock, and Pakistan Army are conducting house-to-house surveys.

DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia said that PDMA Punjab is reviewing the progress of the survey daily.

According to PDMA, the survey teams are also visiting the affected villages with the help of boats. The data of the victims is being ensured by going through the standing floodwater. The district administration and related institutions are working day and night for transparency.
