How can users earn more from TikTok?
Company announced creators will soon receive 90pc of their subscription revenue, up from the current 70pc — a 20pc increase

Web Desk: TikTok users will now be able to earn significantly more from the video-sharing app, thanks to major changes in its subscription model.
During a conference in the United States, the company announced that creators will soon receive 90 per cent of their subscription revenue, up from the current 70 per cent — a 20 per cent increase.
However, eligibility for the new payout structure will require meeting certain conditions. Creators must have at least 10,000 followers, their videos must have garnered a minimum of 100,000 views in the past month, and they must have posted at least three subscriber-only videos within that same period.
According to TikTok’s statement, “The more consistently you create, the more you can earn.” The company added that subscriptions help creators build stronger communities, while monthly subscription fees provide followers with exclusive perks, such as special badges, subscriber-only posts, chat features, and more.
The updated subscription model is being rolled out initially in the United States and Canada, with plans to expand to other countries in the coming months.
Outside the U.S. and Canada, TikTok currently shares 50 percent of subscription revenue with creators, but this will soon be raised to 70 percent.
TikTok’s subscription programme allows users to pay a monthly fee to access exclusive content, private channels, and custom stickers from their favourite creators.
