Islamabad: Pakistan has reported over 4700 cases in last one day as threat of delta variant looms large in the country.


According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,745 cases of coronavirus were reported while 67 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 23,702.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 954,711.
As many as 954,711 patients have recovered from the disease with 107 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 361,458 in the province with 11,141 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 394,748 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,126.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 147,026 in the province with 4,507 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 30,967 confirmed cases while 330 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 26,086 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 639. On the other hand, there are 8,551 cases in GB with 150 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 89,569 cases in the capital city while 809 people have lost their lives.
