The official websites of the Taliban appeared to have vanished from the internet late on Friday.

The reason behind the disappearance of websites was not immediately clear whether a technical fault or something else was to blame.
The Taliban, who are now sitting at the helm of affairs in Kabul, are operating separate websites in Pashto, Dari, Arabic, Urdu and English. All five appeared to be unreachable on Friday.
The American newspaper The Washington Post first reported the outage.
