Pakistan logs 95 deaths from COVID-19, over 4,000 infections
Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous three waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,016 cases of coronavirus were reported while 95 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 25,415.
The total number of cases has reached 1,144,341.
As many as 1,026,082 patients have recovered from the disease with 5,515 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 386,578 in the province with 11,706 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 427,037 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,766.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 159,483 in the province with 4,884 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 32,014 confirmed cases while 338 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 31,478 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 689. On the other hand, there are 9,795 cases in GB with 172 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 97,956 cases in the capital city while 860 people have lost their lives.
