"We hope the PDM member parties will tender resignations before holding long march. I pray for their success as they had already announced another march in the past," he said while addressing a press conference.

Criticising the PDM for announcing long march every week, Bilawal said the announcements of long march and then u-turns damaged the spirit of democracy.

He said the masses would soon come to know that the PDM was just wasting time and nothing else like it did of the PPP.

He suggested that no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar could restore "true democracy" in Pakistan.

The PPP stalwart was of the view that the Opposition bagged successes in by-elections and the Senate elections, adding the present government was the first and the last regime of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

"The PPP always stands ready for elections. It's time the government should hold free and transparent elections."

He said the government was not interested in resolving the real issues of masses. He was of the view that the "selected" could be removed by moving no-confidence motion in the National Assembly.

Commenting over the ordinance relating media, the PPP chairman said the government was squeezing the freedom of press and was planning to legalizse the ordinance. He said the government was adding restrictions on freedom of press.
