“The government will receive two extra Liquefied Natural Gas cargoes next month to fulfill the requirement of the gas in the country,” he said.

Islamabad: Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar Sunday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is introducing virtual gas pipe line system of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to overcome energy shortage in the country.
The federal minister was talking to a private news channel today and said that the provision of gas to domestic consumers during the winter season is government’s first priority.
“The government will receive two extra Liquefied Natural Gas cargoes next month to fulfill the requirement of the gas in the country,” he said.
The Energy Minister further added that the consumption of gas increases 3% in every winter season and the government is making all-out efforts to meet the domestic demand of gas.
“The past regimes had set up expensive power plants in the country unnecessarily, which was the major cause of increasing the prices of electricity in the country,” the minister added.
