Twitter moves closer to becoming paying platform
Twitter is considering a way of allowing users to pay accounts that they like.
The new feature, temporarily dubbed Super Follows, would have the ability to pay creators for content including newsletters.
Although the feature isn't available yet, Twitter representatives told US media outlets that it plans to roll out announcements in the coming few months.
Twitter has been exploring options to generate revenue from its social media users and expand to subscription models like Substack. In January, it purchased newsletter company Revue, diversifying beyond its advertisement based revenue model.
