Neither people nor parliament with PTI: Bilawal
Islamabad: "Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has defeated the government all over Pakistan, neither the people nor the parliament stands by them," said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday.
Addressing a media talk with PDM head and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman said that he had come to the PDM head along with the alliance's joint candidate for the federal senate seat. Talking about the two seats that the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that both had been rigged. "But we will succeed in our mission, we will remove this puppet government and the Prime Minister," he avowed.
Terming it a success that the opposition in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa had joined hands to defeat the government, the PPP leader said, "We are challenging the government in their home."
Maulana Fazlur Rehman then told the members of the press that it was good news for the country that PDM is united in all the provinces and the senate. "I thank Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gillani for coming to meet me. We are contesting elections under a joint strategy and God willing, we will be successful," he said.
Talking about the government, Fazlur Rehman commented, "They thought that we would harm each other's vote blocs. PDM is the only voice of the people in the entire country," he stated, stressing that PDM is a movement yet all member parties are trying not to harm each other in the electoral process
