Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday said world face a crisis in every century, terming Imran Khan as Pakistan’s major economic disaster.

There is a crisis in every century and the COVID-19 pandemic is the first true 21st-century’s catastrophe, I am sorry to say, but our crisis called Imran Khan, said Bilawal.

While commenting on the mini-budget in the National Assembly (NA) today, the PPP leader stated that that Imran Khan could have taken help from opposition leaders in negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government signed a weak deal with IMF, adding that the general masses are bearing the after effects of this agreement.

“When he (Imran Khan) went to the IMF, he was weak,” said Bilawal reiterating that the government had rejected the offer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif regarding National Economic Dialogue.

Chairman PPP further added that Imran Khan presented a new budget, terming it the historic negative indicators of Pakistan’s economy.

He stated that Pakistan’s growth rate has been falling drastically, adding that now country’s inflation, poverty and unemployment is “record breaking”.

“New Pakistan means inflation, unemployment and poverty,” said PPP leader.

“Shahbaz Sharif used to distribute free laptops, the ruling government is levying taxes on these devices,” noted Bilawal.

Bilawal further stated that the budget was introduced while labeling it a new journey towards economic growth, however, it brought tsunami of taxes.

“Imran Khan triggering more poverty and inflation,” he stressed.
