What's new in Twitter's 'Space'?
The social media platform Twitter has announced a new feature for its users called 'Space'.

According to the details ‘Space’ has been introduced in the style of audio chat rooms.
Anyone can join, listen, and speak in a Space on Twitter for iOS. Android users are currently able to join and speak in a Space. However, Twitter is currently testing the ability for a small group of those who use Twitter for Android to create a Space.
After the update, all Spaces are public like Tweets, which means they can be accessed by anyone. They will automatically appear at the top of Timeline, where users see Fleets, and each Space has a link that can be shared publicly.
People can be invited to join a Space by sending an invite via DM, Tweeting the link out to Home Timeline, or copying the invite link to send it out.
For now, all Spaces are public and anyone can join any Space as a Listener. If a user creates a Space or is a Speaker in a Space, his/her followers will see it at the top of their timeline, in their Fleets.
A user can select who can speak by choosing from Everyone, People you follow, or Only people you invite, which lets you send DM invites.
The settings can be changed at any time while the Space is live. Once a user’s Space has started, he can manage who can speak by granting and revoking permissions to participants in the Space while listeners can request to speak from the Host.
The Host of a Space has control over who can speak. They can also remove, report, and block others in the Space. Other speakers and listeners can report and block others in the Space or can report the Space. If anyone blocks a participant in the Space, ultimately it will also block that person’s account on Twitter.
Twitter likened the space feature to a "well-arranged banquet" and said that to fully enjoy such banquets, you don't have to be familiar with all the participants.
In the past, this feature has been provided to a limited group of users to allow them to hold space sessions and others (both their followers or non-followers) to be part of these audio chat rooms.
In a recent announcement, Twitter increased the number of people who could use the space and gave access to it to more Android and iOS users.
Currently, a limited number of Twitter users on Android and iOS can host spaces, but both Twitter users on both operating systems will be able to be part of the space session.
