Rawalpindi: Robbers killed a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court judge of Mirpur Azad Kashmir Sardar Amjad Ishaq during a robbery attempt at his house in Rawat, Rawalpindi.
According to details, two robbers entered the house in Phase VIII of Rawat area for the purpose of robbery and tried to take the family hostage at gunpoint.
On this occasion, the session judge Sardar Amjad Ishaq—who was present in the house— resisted.
Responding to the resistance, a bandit opened fire, which injured Sardar Amjad. After which he was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention where he could not survive.
Five robbers entered the house for robbery attempt, one of them got injured during the exchange of fire and arrested by the police.
Police official Syed Khalid Hamdani taking the notice of the incident summoned the report of the incident from Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadar Nabeel Khokhar and directed the police to arrest the accused as soon as possible. However, police have started investigation of the incident to arrest the accused.
