Women earning an amount from Rs30,000 to Rs100,000 per month are eligible to apply for the scheme.


Islamabad: The federal government of Pakistan has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative known as the Prime Minister's ‘Women on Wheels’ program, marking a significant step towards empowering women and encouraging their active involvement in society.
Under Prime Minister's ‘Women on Wheels’ program, 22,000 women from all over Pakistan will soon be provided with scooters and motorcycles at discounted price with monthly installment of Rs45000 only.
The Chairperson of National Commission for Poverty Alleviation Nilofar Bakhtiar said that Rs5 billion has been allocated for the implementation of program and the process of its distribution will be completely transparent.
As a result of Shahbaz Sharif's personal interest, Women on Wheels project will start soon in the federation for which women between the ages of 18 and 55 will be able to apply.
Nilofar Bakhtiar, Chairperson of the National Commission for Education and Culture stated that 4,000 Scotties belong to each province, federal also has 4,000, while 1,000 to Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) each.

The chairperson continued to say that they will try to benefit the working women and students as well as the polio health workers and women journalists so that they can help in the country's economic development.
