PMD predicts more rainfall across the country
PMD advises and alerts tourists to exercise caution while traveling
Islamabad: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast for additional monsoon rainfall across the country from today until July 22.
According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea will enter the country tonight, intensifying on July 19.
Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galyat, and Islamabad from today onwards.
Authorities have also indicated the possibility of strong winds and rain in some districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Balochistan and Sindh may experience rainfall from July 20 to 22.
There is a chance of showers in Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Badin, Thatta, and Karachi.
Due to prolonged rainfall, there is a concern about landslides in hilly areas, including Murree and Galyat.
Tourists are advised to exercise caution, and relevant authorities have been alerted to remain vigilant.
