ANF recovers 152 kg drugs, three accused

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) cracked down on drug trafficking and recovered 152 kg of drugs and arrested three suspects.

The spokesperson of ANF said that 21.6 kg of opium has been recovered from the hidden compartments of the vehicle near Motorway Toll Plaza Kala Shah Kaku. During the operation, the accused resident of Mardan has been arrested.

The spokesman stated that in another operation near Kala Shah Kaku, 10 kg of heroin was recovered from the vehicle. The recovered heroin was hidden in the tire of the vehicle.

He added that heroin has been recovered from a parcel in the courier office located in Lahore, 500 grams of heroin was hidden in a bed sheet and was being smuggled to Bahrain.

100 kg hashish hidden for smuggling was recovered in two operations in Kech and Gwadar, while 20.5 kg hashish hidden for smuggling was recovered in two operations near Bajaur and Khyber, spokesperson added.

He also told that further investigation has been started by registering cases against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
