All colleges and institutes are obligated to complete admissions by December 31.

Lahore: The Academic and Administrative Advisory Committee of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) convened a meeting on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore.
During this meeting, it was decided to advertise undergraduate admissions on September 24.
Members were briefed that the university will open admissions for three undergraduate programs at its Jinnah Campus, Kala Shah Kaku.
These programs include Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and Medical Laboratory Technology. Affiliated colleges will also admit students in accordance with the UHS schedule. All colleges and institutes are obligated to complete admissions by December 31. Classes for the undergraduate programs, including B.Sc Allied Health Sciences, will commence on January 1, 2024.
UHS Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore, in his address to the meeting, announced that admissions for M.Phil and Ph.D. programs will also be advertised this month. He directed Professor Nadia Nasim, Pro Vice-Chancellor, to finalize the department-wise allocation of seats for M.Phil and Ph.D. programs.
Prof. Rathore emphasized the significance of the university's laboratories generating revenue through specialized diagnostic tests. UHS VC suggested offering tests for the convenience of the public that are not readily available in the market or are prohibitively expensive. He further stated that no test should be offered that is not approved or accredited by the relevant authority. Prof. Rathore made it clear that any lab unable to facilitate the public should be closed. He granted a period of six months to all teaching departments to prepare a feasibility report on starting specialized tests.
Professor Rathore also informed the members that funds have been approved for the payment of compensation to the relatives of nine employees who passed away during their service. Heads of all administrative and teaching departments attended the meeting.
