The 21-member Chinese delegation was going from Islamabad with a tour guide to visit Taxila Museum and Archeology.


Rawalpindi: A tour guide who was going to Taxila with Chinese tourists was robbed by bandits in Rawalpindi district of Punjab.
According to details, a mobile phone was snatched from a member of the Chinese delegation in Taxila police station, area of Rawalpindi for which a case has been registered by the police.
Police lodged the First Information Report (FIR) against two unidentified motorcycle-riding accused.
According to the FIR, the 21-member Chinese delegation was going from Islamabad with a tour guide to visit Taxila Museum and Archeology. On the way, they stopped near Dreamland Hotel when one of the members started taking pictures and two motorcycle-riding accused snatched the mobile phone and ran away.
According to the text of the FIR, the mobile phone seized by the accused was worth Rs0.35 million.
Police officials said that action has been initiated to arrest the accused.
