CTD arrests five terrorists during IBO in Punjab
According to the spokesperson, CTD is following the goal of safe Punjab and is determined to root out the scourge of terrorism.
Lahore: Counter Terrorism Depart (CTD) arrested five terrorists including commander of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during 179 Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) in various cities of Punjab in view of terrorism concerns.
According to CTD spokesman, operations were conducted in Pakpattan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal. TTP's main commander Nadeem was arrested from Pakpattan.
The spokesperson of CTD Punjab said that explosive materials, two IED bombs, prima cord, five detonators and two hand grenades, arms and cash have been recovered from the possession of terrorists.
He also told that the terrorists have been identified as Nadeem, Shahbaz, Khalid, Madni and Salman Saeed who were planning to attack important installations.
CTD spokesperson added that 82 suspects were arrested during 769 combing operations this week while 31250 people were questioned in combing operations.
