Govt hospitals’ staff called for election duty in Karachi
The doctors and staff of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital will be posted on election duty in Kemari and West districts.
Karachi: The entire staff of the government hospital, including senior doctors, has been summoned for the general elections to be held on February 8, reportedly.
According to the media reports, the entire staff of other Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) hospitals, including Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, has been called for election duty.
Senior doctors, Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and other staff have been instructed to come for election training while doctors and staff from all departments including the Intense Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital have also been called.
The doctors and staff of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital will be posted on election duty in Kemari and West districts.
The administration is of the opinion that according to the law emergency staff are not appointed on election duty. The health department has also put the hospitals on high alert during the elections, instructed to set up medical camps in the sensitive areas during the elections.
