Court ordered them to appear before the respective courts by October 10

Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) Wednesday granted transit bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub, former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Member National Assembly (MNA) Zartaj Gul and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s brother Faisal Amin Gandapur and ordered them to appear before the respective courts by October 10.
The case was heard by High Court judge Justice Shakeel Ahmed.
Earlier, a petition filed by PTI leaders had stated that a case had been registered against Leader of the Opposition Omar Ayub, Asad Qaiser and other leaders for holding a meeting in Islamabad.
The petition added that the administration has registered cases against the PTI leaders for delaying the meeting.
It was further stated that the petitioners want to appear in the respective courts, there is a fear of arrest, therefore, bail should be granted so that they can appear in the court.
Meanwhile, in a similar petition, the position has been adopted by Zartaj Gul that a case has been registered against her and other leaders for holding a rally in Islamabad.
It was further said that the constitution allows every political party to hold a peaceful rally. The administration registered cases against the PTI leaders for delaying the rally by two hours.
The position taken in the petition is that the PTI MLAs have been arrested from the limits of the National Assembly. The petitioner should also be granted bail so that he can appear in the concerned court.
It is pertinent to note that on September 9, Islamabad Police arrested PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Sher Afzal Marwat and Shoaib Shaheen.
