SC constitutional bench dissolves over judges’ appointment in PHC

Islamabad: The Supreme Court’s constitutional bench hearing the case regarding the appointment of a judge in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) has been dissolved. A new constitutional bench will be formed in the Supreme Court to hear the case regarding the appointment of judges.

According to the details, the case regarding the appointment of judges was heard by a six-member constitutional bench headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan.

On this occasion, Justice Musarrat Hilali said that how two members of the commission can be part of the bench and hear the case.

Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel stated that if the parliamentary committee objected and returned it, did you go to the judicial commission again? If the judicial commission recommends a name, it refers to the parliamentary committee.

It is pertinent to note that the head of the six-member constitutional bench, Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, are also members of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, which appoints judges. Therefore, a new constitutional bench will be formed in the Supreme Court to hear constitutional petitions regarding the appointment of judges.
